Young Labour

Young Labour Palmerston North/Manawatu meets weekly over a beer/coffee to discuss recent political events and plan campaigning events. Many of our members are at Massey University and increasing political awareness is a major goal of ours. Postering, leaflets drops and facebooking are major ways in which we are working on this aim, and we are keen to hear any ideas others may have.

Helping our great local MP Iain Lees-Galloway is another focus of ours, and we have been involved with canvassing, deliveries and most famously sign-waving with his campaign. Several of us hold organisational positions on his campaign team. Living in the Central North Island gives lots of potential for road-trips to help out other campaigns, recent trips have been to Kapiti, Wanganui and Wellington with more planned soon.
